I can see from the moodboard that the genre chosen is Indie-Rock. Conventionally, the genre appears to mainly consist of white male bands (however there are some exceptions, e.g Florence). In general, costume is in muted colour and not very glamorous and moderately low key lighting is used. There isn't much evidence of heavy post production on band photographs (but more so on Florence and the Machine examples). The band are often positioned away from the camera and eyes looking away from the camera which suggests that, unlike pop, portrait and looks aren't everything and Indie-rock artists prefer to be known for musical attributes rather than looks.
Other examples could have included Two Door Cinema Club who also would have fitted this genre and perhaps more female indie artists such as Marina and The Diamonds.
This example meets all of the elements needed to create a good mood board with a mixture of both publicity and album cover shots.
